Penn State Cooperative Extension in Monroe and Carbon counties is sponsoring a "Cooking for Crowds" workshop on Wednesday, June 2, at the Carbon County Emergency Management Building in Nesquehoning. The event is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m.

The "Cooking for Crowds" workshop is a three-hour training for non-profit organizations that have food fundraisers to earn money for organizational activities. Participants will learn what causes food borne illness, how to prevent food borne illness, and how to practice good food safety strategies for your future food fund-raisers.Registration is limited for the session.
