Published March 20. 2010 09:00AM

The Panther Valley Library, located at 117 E Bertsch St., Lansford, will be hosting Anger Management and Parenting courses for people who have been court mandated to take the courses or have an interest in the subject.

Both courses take 11 weeks to complete.

Anger Management courses will begin on Wednesday, March 31 and will be held from 10 a.m. to noon.

Parenting courses will begin on Friday, April 2 and will also be held from 10 a.m. to noon. For privacy reasons, the library will be closed during these courses. Participants should call (570) 645-3780 to register for the course or courses. A certificate of completion will be given at the end of the 11 weeks.

The Panther Valley Library is also looking for volunteers who can shelve books, do some data entry, light cleaning, children's programming, etc.

If this is something you'd like to do, please call Debi at 645-3780. It's a great way to meet new people by giving back to your community.

You may volunteer for one to four hours per week, as follows: Monday and Tuesday, 9 to noon and 4 -8 p.m, Wednesday 4-6 p.m., and Thursday 4 -6 p.m.
