Shenandoah man shot to death during home invasion

Published March 17. 2010 05:00PM

State police are looking for two men who broke into a Shenandoah home early Tuesday morning, reportedly took money from the homeowner, and then shot him to death.

Bruce Lee Forker, 24, of 333 E. Center St., was pronounced dead at the scene about 3:30 a.m. Troopers said the two men forced their way into the home about 2:20 a.m.

Forker resided at the home with his girlfriend, Kasa Brennan and two children. Brennan and the two children - a five-year-old girl and a one and a half year old girl - were home when the incident occurred but were not harmed.

Troopers did not release much information or a motive other than an apparent robbery. First reports indicated troopers were looking for a black Dodge Neon, but as the probe went on during the early morning that alert was canceled.

Troopers said they are looking for two male suspects. One was described as being dark-skinned.

State police are being assisted by Shenandoah police and the Schuylkill County District Attorney's office.
