Easter Egg Hunt

The Marketing Committee of the Tamaqua Area Chamber of Commerce will host its fifth annual Easter Egg Hunt at Depot Square Park. The event will be held March 27 and will be open to children up to the age of 10.

Pre-registration is required. Forms will be available at the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce Office, 114 W. Broad St.; TIMES NEWS Tamaqua Office, 200 E. Broad St.; M and S Hardware; and Direct Maytag, Jamesway Plaza.

Deadline for registration is March 25.

Rush-Ryan seniors

The Rush, Ryan and Delano Senior Citizens Inc. met March 9 at the Ryan Township Fire Company with 37 members in attendance.

Vice president Rhoda Purnell conducted the business meeting. Chaplain Kathleen Valentine offered an invocation. Reports were presented by Secretary Florina Martin and Treasurer Shirley Becker. Secretary Becker reported sending a card to Emily Faust.

Birthday wishes were extended to Ruth Grube. Florina Martin and Shirley Becker provided inspirational readings.

Anyone 50 years old or older is welcome to join.
