Troxell Road in Mahoning Township was closed to traffic early Friday morning after a motorist reported to the Carbon County Comm Center he had collided with a fallen tree. The driver was traveling along the roadway just after 5 a.m. about a half mile south of Route 443 when he struck the tree which was lying across both lanes of the road. The driver was not injured. Officer Amy Barclay and a township worker using a chain saw cut the tree and removed it from the scene.
