A Slatington driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Michael A. Humanick was stopped operating a Dodge pickup at 12:07 a.m. on Saturday along Hamilton Boulevard in Lower Macungie Township.

At the stop Humanick showed signs of impairment. He admitted using methamphetamine before driving.

He was placed under arrest for DUI of a controlled substance.

A search of his vehicle revealed meth and drug paraphernalia in the front center console.

Troopers also reported on another DUI arrest.

On Jan. 9 at 12:08 a.m. a 2005 Toyota 4-Runner as dropped along Decatur Street in Lynn Township.

The driver, Darren Hinkle, 49, of Germansville, showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol.

He was placed under arrest and taken to the central booking center in Allentown for processing.

Charges were filed.
