The Jim Thorpe Police Department presented a check in the amount of $4,000 to the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), Schuylkill-Carbon Lodge No. 13 Fallen Officers Fund. The funds for the donation were raised through the Policeman's Ball which was held this past February and was hosted by the Jim Thorpe Police Department. Coordinators for the Policeman's Ball were Jessica Nhem and Chief Joseph Schatz and along with other volunteers, the Borough of Jim Thorpe, and the sponsorship of local businesses, helped to make the event a successful fundraiser for the FOP. Jim Thorpe Police Chief Joseph Schatz presents a check in the amount of $4,000 to Horace G. Woodside, President FOP Schuylkill-Carbon Lodge No. 13.
