A teenage driver is facing charges following a one- vehicle crash that occurred about 5:24 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, along Long Pond Road, a mile south of SR940.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a 16-year-old male from Idlewild Drive, Tobyhanna, was traveling northbound when he attempted to pass another vehicle in a no passing zone. He lost control of his vehicle and struck a telephone pole along the berm.The teen was not injured. He will be charged with several motor vehicle code violations, police said.
