State police released today information on several crashes investigated by troopers in recent days.

A accident involving a pedestrian occurred about 3 p.m. on May 31 along Chestnut Drive in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said David Mihalic, 35, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 1995 Mercury Sable northbound when Tiffany A. McDonald, 28, of Saylorsburg, ran from behind a tree into the path of the Sable. Mihalic swerved his vehicle to avoid hitting the woman but she ran into the side window and passenger side of the car.

McDonald was flown by Medevac helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, troopers said, for treatment of a moderate injury. Mihalic was not injured.

Troopers probed a crash on May 27 about 5:35 p.m. along Jonas Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Justin J. Rodriguez, 19, of Effort, was driving a 2004 Hyundai Accent eastbound when he said he swerved his vehicle to the right to avoid a small animal on the road. The car went onto the berm and hit a ditch with the right side, it then struck a tree and rolled over before coming to rest on its wheels.

Rodriguez was injured and taken by West End ambulance to the Pocono Medical Center (PMC), East Stroudsburg.

A crash occurred on June 9, no time stated, along Weir Lake Road, near Annies Lane, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Brian W. Myszkowski, 24, of Kunkletown, was southbound and Robert J. Menear, 49, of Saylorsburg, was northbound. Troopers said Myszkowski began to go into diabetic shock and lost consciousness. His 1996 Saturn SL1 crossed into the northbound lane and grazed the front driver side fender of Menear's 1995 Ford F150 pickup truck. The Saturn continued after impact and struck a tree along the berm, then went over an embankment and struck another tree head-on.

Myszkowski was not injured in the crash but was taken to PMC for his health problem. Menear was not injured.

A driver is facing numerous motor vehicle code violations following a crash that occurred on Tuesday, June 15, along Pennell Road, in Ross Township. Troopers said Daquan M. Sease, 19, of Bronx, N.Y., was driving a 1997 Saturn SLI southbound when, for unknown reasons, the car left the road and over an embankment and struck a tree with its rear bumper.

Sease fled the scene, troopers said, but was later located and is facing charges.
