Tamaqua High School honors SAT achievers

Tamaqua Area High School recognized students who scored over 600 on the math, reading and writing sections of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) during a recent school board meeting.

Students who scored 600 or better on the math portion of the test were as follows: Katelyn Ciccozzi (620), Kyle Cunningham (630), Collin Fox (630), Shelby Hankins (600), Jordan Heisler (650), Danielle Jones (620), Melody Kelly (640), Rachel Krell (600), Alexandra Kurek (690), John Perla (640), Joseph Rudy (710), Matthew Sanchez (670), Brock Stein (620), Elissa Streisel (620), Michael Streisel (640), Michael Taylor (610), Calvin Troxell (620), Carl Wittig (630) and Jennifer Wood (600).Students who scored 600 or better in reading or writing included Tyler Butkus (reading 670, writing 650), Collin Fox (reading 690), Shelby Hankins (writing 620), Danielle Jones (reading 630), Melody Kelly (writing 630), Rachel Krell (reading 630), Alexandra Kurek (reading 610), Mallory Loughman (writing 630), Corey McCann (writing 600), John Perla (reading 610), Matthew Sanchez (reading 600), Elissa Streisel (writing 600) and Jennifer Wood (writing 620).Five students scored 600 or better in all three sections: Zoe Gray (reading 730, math 600, writing 600), Ryan Miorelli (reading 720, math 700, writing 690), Schuyler Schmidt (reading 690, math 640, writing 650), Jacqueline Stewart (reading 600, math 680, writing 640) and Lauren Ward (reading 620, math 640, writing 690).
