A Schuylkill Township woman was slightly injured on Thursday afternoon when she lost control of her car and crashed.

State police at Frackville said Jennifer M. Coborn, 40, of Brockton, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu northbound on SR443 (Clamtown Rd.), in West Brunswick Township, about 2:45 p.m. when she lost control. The car crossed over the double yellow line into the oncoming southbound lane then slid. The car crossed back into the northbound lane and then onto the right shoulder. The car then crossed over the northbound shoulder, impacted its front end with a rock embankment, then traveled about eight feet off the road.

The car then flipped over and rolled onto its roof and slid across the road on its roof. It came to final rest on its roof about 40 feet from the initial point of impact blocking the southbound lane facing east. Coborn was checked at the scene by passing Orwigsburg ambulance personnel, but did not require any further medical treatment.

Troopers cited Coborn for driving on roadways laned for traffic. Assisting troopers at the scene were West Penn Township police and volunteers from the West Penn and New Ringgold fire companies.
