Arrests reported at Pocono 500 race

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on numerous arrests made at the Pocono 500 Race at the Pocono International Raceway at Long Pond.

Cited on Saturday, June 5, for disorderly conduct were the following: Nicole Burke, 18, Timothy Jones, 19, Cylean Shane Carroll, 20, and Karlee Stempel, 18, all of White Haven; Amos Stoltzfus, 19, of Kinzers, Lancaster County, also underage drinking; Henry B. Yoder Jr. 21, Kirkwood, Lancaster County; Elmer Fisher, 22, Paradise, Lancaster County; Michael K. Zook, 20, Christiana, Lancaster County; Aaron J. Glick Jr., 24, Coatesville, Timothy L. Decker, 22, West Town, N.Y, and Samantha Reimert, 20, of Slatedale.

Cited on Sunday, June 6, for disorderly conduct were the following: Matthew Shoup, 58, of Norristown; Scott John Riegel, 38, of Schuylkill Haven; Christian Glick, 29, of Coatesville; George Pfaff Jr., 26, of Levittown; Bruce Miller, 40, of Scranton; Kurt Arens Jr., 41, of Jessup, Lackawanna County; and Leon Gehman, 26, of Reinholds, Lancaster County. Jayda Youngblood, 20, of Gouldsboro, and Anthony Lee Mitchell, 19, of Wilkes-Barre, were cited for underage drinking.

Cited at a sobriety checkpoint conduct for driving under the influence (DUI) conducted on Sunday were the following: Edward Knowles, 54, of Daleville, Lackawanna County; Brian Berner, 21, of Bethlehem; Robert Hullfish, 43, of Archbald, Lackawanna County; David Henry, 21, of Shavertown, Luzerne County; Timothy O'Neil, 56, of Greentown, Pike County; Joseph Bieszczad, 45, of Boulder, Colo.; William J. Rosengrant, 40, of Scranton; and Jonathan Augustine, 26, of Chalfont, Bucks County.

Also cited at the checkpoint were a 17-year-old male juvenile from Pocono Pines for possession of a small amount of marijuana, and Andrew Kearins, 26, of Doylestown, possession of drug paraphernalia.

In addition there were also 14 traffic citations issued for various offenses, police said.
