For the 10th year in a row, John Martino, an R.N., volunteered his time to certify members of Boy Scout Troop 555 in CPR. Roger Meckes and Holly Rivera, EMT's at Penn Forest Volunteer Fire Co., again assisted him in the training program.

"As grateful as I am for the opportunity to have our Scouts trained," says Scoutmaster Ray Attewell, who also recertified with the scouts, "it's just as helpful to ensure that our leader's have the training, too."

Boy Scouts of America has a number of training programs that leaders are required to take periodically. Three assistant Scoutmasters also completed the course.

"We'll be taking 24 scouts to summer camp in June. Thanks to the continued dedication of the volunteer trainers," said Attewell, "all five of the leaders involved in summer camp that week will have been trained in CPR".
