Monroe bank robbed

A Monroe County bank was robbed early Thursday afternoon.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a black male entered the Wachovia Bank branch office in Mt. Pocono about 12:40 p.m. and presented a note to the teller demanding money. No weapon was shown to the teller. He then exited the bank.

The suspect is described as being about five-feet, six-inches tall, medium build who was wearing a dark blue fitted "Yankees" baseball cap, light colored, crew neck T-shirt, gray colored pants and white sneakers.

Police also noted a blue Honda sedan, with tinted windows and gold trim, was seen in the bank parking lot immediately prior to the incident and leaving moments after.
