The newly installed flag poles at the Tamaqua Area School District Administration Building were dedicated during the Memorial Day events. The American Flag was raised by Tamaqua Mayor Christian Morrison and Arthur Oakes, Jr. The Pennsylvania State Flag was raised by State Representative Jerry Knowles and State Senator David Argall. The school flag was raised by District Superintendent Carol Makuta and student Raymond Kinder. The flags were sealed by a one shot volley provided by the Tamaqua American Legion Color Guard.
