Tamaqua Borough Employees hold dinner

Tamaqua borough and employees rallied around two of their own who are dealing with cancer and its after-effects by holding a dinner buffet benefit recently for them. Matt Bynon, a member of the Tamaqua Police Department, and Donna White, a 32-year employee of the Tamaqua Area Water Department, have both had their lives affected by the disease. Bynon is currently undergoing treatment for cancer while White is dealing with the recent loss of her husband, Bob, to the disease. The benefit buffet dinner proceeds went to help defray medical bills for both employees and their families. Mayor Chris Morrison and borough employee Karen Davison spearheaded the benefit with the help of other employees. Patrons also got to enjoy music and karaoke by Morrison. M & I Deli catered the event. Pictured enjoying some karaoke from left are Police Officer Mike Hobbs, borough employee Karen Davison, Officer Bynon (stricken with cancer), and Morrison.
