Rush police report arrests, burglary

The Rush Township Police department has reported the following activity.

Rebecca Keefer, 26, of Kelayres and Sara M. Fletcher, 19, of Kelayres are facing retail theft, receiving stolen property charges after walking out of Walmart with over $150 each worth of merchandise. Also, Keefer is facing theft by deception and receiving stolen property charges after taking merchandise worth $164.24 from Walmart.Two female juveniles from Sugarloaf are facing trespassing charges after being caught on the High Bridge in HometownOn July 9 at 10:50 a.m., Kevin J. Tansley, 23, of Lansford, was arraigned in front of Tamaqua Magisterial District Justice Stephen Bayer on charges of retail theft for stealing merchandise worth $2.68 from Walmart. Tansley was committed to Schuylkill Prison, Pottsville, in lieu of $1,000 straight cash bail.John E. Bartenope, 33, of Lansford, Ruth Ann Chapman, 60, of Lansford, and Cheryl M. Tucker, 37, of Nesquehoning are facing burglary, trespass, and receiving stolen property charges after they broke into a property on Blews LaneRush Township police are investigating a burglary at 174 Claremont Ave. where the home owner reported all the electrical wiring was removed from the house.Diana L. Lecessi, 44, of West Hazleton is facing retail theft charges after stealing $21.79 worth of merchandise from Walmart on July 11 at 3 p.m.Leonard E. Rehatcheck III, 21, of Nesquehoning is facing DUI and other charges after being stopped near Ardmore Ave. on July 9 at 9:36 p.m. Rehatcheck was taken to the Coaldale Police station for a breath test. The test results were a .181 percent. Also, a passenger in the car, Taylor W. Schmitt. 20, is facing underage drinking charges.
