Monroe drug arrests reported

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on several drug arrests made in recent days by officers.

On July 6 about 8:38 p.m. officers were called to 6634 Seven Nations Drive, in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township, to assist state parole officers who had Prescott Hannum, 24, of 5534 Severn Nations Drive, in custody for parole violations.After searching Hannum officers found heroin and drug paraphernalia on him. He was taken to Pocono police headquarters where he was fingerprinted and processed. He was then transported to the county prison in Snydersville for arraignment.He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.On July 9 about 4:22 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along Kilmer Road at Maple Lane. The driver was identified as Emmanual Delcastillo, of Tobyhanna, with an unknown passenger. While speaking with the driver officers noted odor of marijuana coming from the car. At this point the passenger fled on foot. He was not found following a search.Delcastillo was found to be on parole at the time and the incident violated that parole. He was placed into custody and his vehicle was searched. Found in the car was small amounts of marijuana. He was charged with possession.Police are still seeking the name of the passenger, who is also facing drug charges.On July 8 about 9:56 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop along SR196 at the PenMart store for vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as Jacqueline Morales, 46, of Tobyhanna. She consented to a search of the vehicle and found was several pieces of drug paraphernalia.She was charged with possession of the paraphernalia, processed and released.
