A Northampton County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one- vehicle crash that occurred about 7:47 p.m. on July 7 along McIlhaney Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Margaret L. Paptyi, 51, of Bangor, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Malibu LS northbound when she failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The car went onto the berm and down a bank.

Troopers said Paptyi sustained a minor injury in the crash. She was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for treatment and a blood test. She was also charged with driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.
