Kanick-Donadi

The parents of Christina Kanick of Summit Hill and Anthony Donadi of Sugarloaf have announced the couple's engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Edward and Regina Kanick of Summit Hill. She is a graduate of Marian Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. Recently, she received a master's degree in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University. She is employed as a cost and risk analyst for TASC Inc., based in Chantilly, Va.The prospective bridegroom is the son of Arthur and Mary Donadi of Sugarloaf. He is a graduate of Hazleton Area High School and the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned degrees in history and global studies. After working as an international business development consultant in the Washington, D.C. area, he was commissioned in early 2010 by the president to serve as a diplomat for the U.S. Department of State.The couple is planning a fall 2010 wedding at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic church, Hazleton. The Rev. Joseph Evanko will preside over the ceremony.Following the wedding, the couple will depart for a posting to U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.
