Two injured in SR248 crash

At least two persons were injured in a crash Thursday morning at the intersection of State Road and SR248. The accident involved two sport utility vehicles (SUV). It appeared the more seriously injured were in a Chevrolet SUV which came to rest in the westbound lane. It was reported a female occupant was unresponsive and possibly trapped under the dashboard. Firefighters from Franklin Township extricated the injured from the wreckage while medical treatment was administered by Lehighton paramedics. State police at Lehighton and Franklin Township police responded to the scene. Franklin Township fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
