Accident in Summit Hill

A Summit Hill motorcyclist was flown to St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, after a crash Thursday evening. The accident happened at about 6:42 p.m. on East White Bear Drive. Borough police said Dorothy Sandella, 85, was heading east on East White Bear Dr., Summit Hill as a motorcycle driven by Kevin George, 38, of 413 W. White St., Summit Hill was heading west on East White Bear Drive. Sandella allegedly made a left hand turn into her driveway at 620 East White Bear Dr. in front of the motorcycle, which had the right of way. George tried to avoid the collision, but could not, police said. He was flown to St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, by Penn Star. Charges are pending against Sandella.
