An arrest has been made in a burglary that occurred last October in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Ervin Washington, 24, of Pine Grove, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 26, and charged in connection with a burglary that occurred on Oct. 3, 2009. Washington was arraigned before District Judge Carol Pankake, of Tremont, on charges of burglary, theft and rerlated offenses. Bail was set at $25,000 which was not posted.

Through the course of the investigation troopers learned that on the night of the incident Washington had fled the area and traveled to a residence in Mt. Carmel. He was later arrested that night for another incident in Mt. Carmel and committed to the Northumberland County prison where he has been held.

The property stolen in Pine Grove was recovered in a residence in Mt. Carmel, troopers said.
