Rear-end type crash in Monroe

One driver was injured in a rear-end type crash that occurred about 12:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26, along SR209 near Burger Hollow Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said Charles Flamini Jr., 33, of Allentown, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound when the front of his vehicle struck the rear of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee driven by Henry Plonski, 52, of Gilbert, who was stopped to make a left turn into a parking lot.

Plonski was injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, troopers said. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
