A teenage female is facing multiple counts, including driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident in Slatington about 11:48 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21.

Borough police said officers responded to a report of an accident at 355 Main St., a vehicle into a pole. The female driver fled the scene on foot, police said, but was later found hiding to the rear of 30 Factory St.The suspect was identified as Kayla Christine Kascsak, 18, unknown address. In addition to DUI, she is facing charges of DUI by minor operating a vehicle, carless driving, duty to give information and render aid, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle and property, minor prohibited from operating with any alcohol in system and immediate notice of accident to police.
