Properties purchased in Schuylkill judicial tax sale

The Schuylkill County Tax Claim Bureau, which acts as trustees of properties it had acquired for non-payment of real estate taxes, recently held a judicial tax sale and sold properties to the highest bidder.

Among the purchases, according to the deeds recorded at the Schuylkill County Courthouse, area property transactions included:

To Brendon A. Beatrice, Branchburg, New Jersey, property at 83 Third Street, East Union Township, sold for $2,249;

To James F. and Anne M. Dorner, Dillsburg, property on west side of Mohawk Drive, Eagle Rock Resort, East Union Township, sold as property of Maribeth Ruggiero, for $854 and property on south side of Arapahoe Lane, Eagle Rock Resorts, North Union Township, sold as property of Kevin Barry, $823;

To Mid County Resources, LLC, Jim Thorpe, property at 1308 Walnut Street, Ashland, sold as property of Wiliam F. and Ellen M. Smith, $3,631; property at 616 Arlington Street, Tamaqua, sold as property of Chery L. Cummings, $8,896, and property at 26 East Elm Street, Tamaqua, sold as property of Antoinette R. Walters, $4,900.

Other property transactions recorded included:

Richard J. Billus, as administrator of the estate of Richard N. Billus to Nicholas Tylka and Julia Huschek, property at 1426 Main Street, Gilberton, $3,000;

Elizabeth Machey, McAdoo, to Jerome J. Machey, McAdoo; Lorraine R. Domin, Hazle Township, Luzerne County and Richard Machey, Conyngham, Luzerne County, property on south side of Blaine Street, McAdoo, $1 (transaction is from mother to children);

LNV Corporation, Plano, Texas to Jeffrey C. and Peggy J. Hippert, property at 41 West Market Street, Sheppton, East Union Township, $911.73;

Carl L. Stahler to Tammy L. Sfarra, property at 698 Zion's Stone Church Road, New Ringgold, $1 (transaction from parent to child);

Robert G. and Donna L. Broadt, Sugarload Township, Luzerne County, to Donna L. Broadt as trustee of Jennifer Broadt Irrevocable Special Needs Trust Agreement, property at 395 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with brick garage and two lots on East Mauch Chunk Street, Tamaqua, $1 (transfer to a trust fund);

Charles and Violet McHugh, Summit Hill, to Charles Abdoo, New York City, property on east side of North Railroad Street, Tamaqua, $1, full consideration $4,000); and

Sovereign Bank, Reading, to Michael J. and Rachel A. Kellett, House Number 94, Number Nine Road, MaryD, Schuylkill Township, $1,500.
