Kimberly Strohl and 2nd Lt. Mark Olving marry

Kimberly Carrie Strohl, daughter of Keith and Susan Strohl, Lehighton, married 2nd Lt. Mark Christopher Olving, son of Peter and Wendy Olving, Tafton, on July 11, 2009 in Hamilton Hall at Elmira College, Elmira, N.Y.

The Rev. Beth A. Schlegel, York, officiated the double ring ceremony.Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Anna Smith, Palmerton, as matron of honor.Bridesmaids included Melissa Leaser, Amy Breisch and Kristi Strohl, all of Lehighton.Best man duties were performed by Marshall Leaser III, Lehighton.Ushers included 2nd Lt. Joseph Galli, Portland, Maine; Frank Orio, Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Michael Strohl, Lehighton.After a reception at Elmira College, the newlyweds honeymooned in Boston, Mass.The new Mrs. Olving is a 2005 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, and a 2009 graduate of Elmira College, where she earned a bachelor of arts in chemistry.She is currently a student at Salus University in Elkins Park, Pa., where she is working toward a master's degree to become a physician's assistant.Second Lt. Olving is a 2005 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, and a 2009 graduate of Elmira College, where he earned a bachelor of science in history.He is on active duty in the United States Army.The newlyweds reside in Jenkintown, Pa.
