A scheduled reorganizational meeting of the Lower Towamensing Township Board of Auditors has been shelved for the time being.

The board was to set to reorganize Tuesday evening, but didn't because one of the auditors had not been sworn in, according to part-time assistant secretary Jillyan Sterling.As a result, Sterling said the board's reorganizational meeting will be rescheduled on a date sometime after the township's board of supervisors meeting scheduled for Feb. 9.The auditors set the yearly compensation paid to employed supervisors.The township hires an outside accounting firm to audit the township financial reports each year.
