For the third time during the month of February the Schuylkill County courthouse was closed today because of the amount of snow dumped in the county.

However, county employees at the county prison and 9-1-1 Communication Center located in Pottsville and at Rest Haven Home and Hospital in Schuylkill Haven, struggled to reach their workplace to keep them functional.The annual Schuylkill County Republic Party's Lincoln Day Dinner, which was to be held Thursday evening, was cancelled before the storm hit and was rescheduled for Sunday evening at the Pine View Acres Restaurant in Pottsville.The Schuylkill County Republican Party will hold a meeting on Tuesday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the Good Will Hose Company in Pottsville to act on endorsing candidates for the Primary Electon on May 18.
