Lansford declares state of emergency

Lansford Borough has declared a state of emergency as of 12 a.m. Thursday. the declaration means the following parking rules are in effect:

No parking the entire length of Water Street and Kline Avenue.

All vehicles are to be moved off the south side (even number addresses) of the entire length of Patterson Street (U.S. 209).

People throwing snow back into plowed lanes will be cited.

Borough officials ask that people stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.

Medical personnel and other essential workers needing transportation can contact the Carbon County Emergency Management Agency operations center at (570) 325-3097 for help.
