Car lands in Penn Forest Creek

A female motorist escaped serious injury Saturday afternoon when involved in a crash which left her car stranded in Penn Forest Creek. State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the incident which occurred along Route 534. The woman was traveling west about a half mile east of Route 903 when she apparently lost control. Her car crossed the roadway entering the left berm, striking a tree, utility pole and a large rock before coming to rest in the frigid creek. She was not injured in the incident.
