Pennsylvania State University performs concerts
Gail Maholick/TIMES NEWS Penn State Glee Club performs for an appreciative audience on Friday night at the Lehighton Area High School.
Those attending the concert by the Penn State Glee Club were in for a treat when the 75 voice men's choir performed at the Lehighton Area High School.
The stop in Lehighton was just one of the many performances the group has done across the United States and around the world. They will be undertaking a national tour of New Zealand in May 2010.
Christopher Kiver, director, was applauded as he entered the stage to direct the young men wear tuxedos.
The concert began with a rousing song "Hail! Oh Hail," the Penn State fight song that has inspired so many players on the football field to win for the Blue and White.
The concert also included works for men by American composers Ron Nelson and Theodore Morrison.
The concert was sponsored by the Lehighton Music Department and the Lehighton Area High School Choral Boosters. The Glee Club also presented a concert during the day for the high school and middle school students.
The Glee Club also performed on Saturday at the Pleasant Valley High School.
