A pedestrian was struck by a car and the driver then fled the scene. State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, in front of 332 Valley St., Brockton, Schuylkill Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Joseph J. Leskin, 59, of Brockton, was crossing the street when struck by a car that was being driven eastbound. After striking Leskin the driver turned the vehicle around and fled westbound. Leskin sustained a minor injury in the incident.The hit-and-run car was described as being a dark-colored, two-door vehicle with a load exhaust. The driver was a white male, dark hair, in his late 20s or early 30s.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 874-5300.
