Preparation is under way for the annual Carbon-Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society Telethon Committee Chinese Auction.

madula@ptd.net.The ACS Chinese Auction will be held on Sunday, March 7 at the Lakeside Ballroom, located on Route 54 in Barnesville. Doors open at noon and the auction begins at 3 p.m. Polka Joe will entertain from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., with entertainment by Cody Sassaman to follow.You don't need to be present at the auction to win. Prizes include a laptop, oil, gas, electronics, appliances, restaurant certificates, vacations, etc. For more information visit
