There will be a meeting of the Panther Valley High School JROTC boosters on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m. in the classroom. All parents are invited.

Members of the Summit Hill Lions Club are reminded dues for 2010 are now being accepted. They can be sent to the club at P.O. Box 123, Summit Hill, Pa. 18250, or can be forwarded to secretary Ann Yusella.
Persons interested in becoming members of the service club can contact its president, Dr. Kenneth Vermillion.
The schedule for the Coaldale/Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, Feb. 7, is as follows:
Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will preside at both services.
The adult Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Coaldale church.
St. Paul Lutheran
The schedule for St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill, for Sunday, Feb. 7, includes the Sunday school meeting at 9 a.m. and the service of worship at 10:30 a.m.
The parish's annual congregational meeting will take place on Sunday, Feb. 14, immediately following the worship service. All members are encouraged to attend.
The Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill, will have a regular worship schedule on Sunday, Feb. 7. The Sunday school and adult Bible study will begin at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a service of worship at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Fred Rogers, pastor, officiating.
The weekly scripture sharing sessions at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will resume tonight at 7 o'clock in the church hall.
The Summit Hill Historical Society Museum has an extensive collection of photographs and memorabilia, a model of the Switchback Railroad and many other artifacts that depict typical mining life in Summit Hill over the past 200 years. The museum is open on Friday evenings or can be visited by appointment by calling Maxine Vermillion, (570) 645-9772.
