Lehighton Postmaster Chrissy McAvoy presents Supervisor Bill Maehrer with a certificate from U.S. Post Office District Manager Kevin McAdams congratulating Maehrer for his 28 years of service. Maehrer, 63, who is retiring, was given a send-off party Thursday at the post office. His retirement plans apparently involve plenty of chores. "My two daughters and my aunt live halfway down the street, and already have their lists made out,:" he said. "But my wife has the biggest list."
