Donation to St. Luke's Miners

The Summit Hill Lions Club, during its annual Christmas Party at Macaluso's in Nesquehoning, presented a $1,000 check to a representative of St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale. The check represents a five year commitment of $5,000 ($1,000 per year) by the club to the hospital. This is the second installment. Bill Moyer, right, president of the hospital, accepts check from Lions Treasurer Louis Vermillion, while looking on are Lions members, from left, Tom Midas and Gene Binder.
