Rep. Heffley to open district office in Lehighton on Jan. 5

Rep.-elect Doyle M. Heffley (R-Carbon) will be opening his first district office on Wednesday, Jan. 5, in the Lehighton Borough Annex (former Lehighton High School), second floor, 110 N. Third St., Lehighton, Pa. 18235.

"I want to ensure residents of the 122nd District that I will have my district office open as soon as possible to help with any questions that may have concerning state government or the legislature," said Heffley. "I plan to hold office hours or set up satellite offices across Carbon County so I can be available to the residents I serve."

Heffley's staff in Lehighton will consist of Jean Papay and Timm Berger.

Heffley said telephone lines are still being installed at the office, which will not be fully operational until Jan. 12.

Driver's license and vehicle registration applications and renewals.

Assistance with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation paperwork, special registration plates and temporary placards for disabled persons.

PACE and PACENET applications for senior citizens,

Property Tax and Rent Rebate applications.

Voter registration forms and absentee ballot applications.

Consumer complaint forms.

State tax forms.

Student aid applications.

State maps, state park information and Pennsylvania Vacation Guides.

Copies of legislation.

Information on how to schedule tours of the state Capitol.

Referrals to agencies to resolve state-related matters.
