Mauch Chunk Trust contributes

More than just toys changed hands at the Mauch Chunk Trust Company (MCT) main office in Jim Thorpe when Marine Corps League representatives showed up for a Toys for Tots collection.

Not only did the Marines pick up the contents of a large box full of donated toys, they also received monetary donations from MCT and its employees. Employees at MCT joined in the Toys for Tots campaign by raising $150 through staff contributions toward a Dress Down Day. MCT matched the employees fundraising efforts, bringing the total to $300.The Marine Corps Reserve, in turn, presented MCT and all of its employees with a Certificate of Appreciation for "outstanding support of Schuylkill Carbon Marine Corps League Det. #626 United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots." These and other collected toy donations will be distributed to over 400 needy families in the Schuylkill Carbon area who have already pre-registered for the Toys for Tots program. Each child will receive three or four toys along with some smaller stocking-stuffers and each family will receive a game that they can play together.
