A Virginia woman who recently relocated to the area had her purse stolen earlier this week.

Patricia Hill, 47, of 14 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, was shopping in Boyer's Food Mart on Center Street Monday evening, Dec. 13, when she turned away from her black Coach bag, which was in the shopping cart. When she returned her attention to the cart the purse was missing. The handbag contained $130 in cash as well as Hill's identification and credit cards.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at (570) 668-6100.
