Charged with forgery, conspiracy

Erica Lynn Neff, 29, of Lehighton, was arraigned before District Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua, Monday on charges related to a forgery from March of this year. Neff is escorted by Tamaqua Patrolman Matt Houser and Cpl. Henry Woods. Woods charged Neff with felony counts of forgery and conspiracy to commit forgery, as well as misdemeanor counts of theft by deception and receiving stolen property. Neff allegedly cashed a payroll check from a defunct Allentown company, at the We R Cigarrettes store on March 19. Bayer set bail at $25,000 percentage. Unable to post the required 10 percent, Neff was returned to the Carbon County Prison where she was lodged over the weekend on a parole violation.
