Around 11 a.m. Saturday emergency responders in Tamaqua were called to the intersection of West Broad St (SR309) and Lehigh St following a two car collision involving a red Toyota RAV4 and a black Ford Focus. Reportedly, Julie Lynn of West Virgina, driving the Toyota, pulled out from South Lehigh Street into the West Broad St intersection where it was impacted on the driver's side by Edward Pollack, MaryD, who was driving his Ford east on West Broad St. Both were reated on scene by emergency responders and Julie Lynn was taken to St Luke's hospital, Coaldale, via South Ward Fire Company's Tamaqua Rescue truck. Tamaqua Fire Police detoured traffic around that part of West Broad Street during the response.
