Robbery at Monroe store being probed

A armed robbery at a Monroe County store is being probed.

State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred at the Dollar General Store along SR209 in Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, on Tuesday, Nov. 30, about 10:05 p.m.

Troopers said a female entered the store and after being inside for a while she went to the manager's office area. The woman approached the manager of the store within the office displaying a butcher knife. The woman motioned towards money in the office. The manager gave the money to the woman who then fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as being about five-feet, four-inches tall, weighing 145 pounds, wearing a black winter coat, black winter gloves, blue jeans, gray hooded sweatshirt and a red "devil style" Halloween mask.
