A Family Fun Day was held recently at the Bungalow Park in Tamaqua to benefit the Tamaqua are Relay For Life. The community event consisted of food, music, games, prizes, inflatable bouncy gym, and a dunk tank. Event organizer Jenn Miller, from Tamaqua, stated her appreciation to all the volunteers, patrons, contributors, and key event sponsor Larry Frederick, owner of Freddy's Pub in Tamaqua. She also pointed out her appreciation to the Citizens Fire Company for donating the use of their dunk tank and inflatable bouncy gym. Representatives from the Carbon-Tamaqua Chapter of the ACS were also on hand during the event. The event raised $1,024.65 for the Carbon-Tamaqua American Cancer Society Tamaqua area Relay For Life. Both DJ Mixx and Lord Pistaccio Band donated their services for the event.
