Blood drive scheduled in Lehighton, Sept. 15
PHOENIX Rehabilitation and Health Services, Inc. will be hosting a community blood drive in conjunction with the Miller Keystone Blood Center on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from noon until 5 p.m. at the PHOENIX outpatient office, located at 1022 Blakeslee Blvd. Dr. East in Lehighton.
All eligible community members are asked to consider donating with the goal of keeping the area's blood supply at an optimum level.
Rachel Robb, PT, MPT, ATC, Facility Director/ Physical Therapist at PHOENIX's Lehighton outpatient office, recognizes the importance of supporting this blood drive in order to help supply the community with a vital health care resource that is needed every day.
Robb states, "Hosting the blood bank is a great opportunity for us to say thank you and to give something back to area residents for their support of our clinic."
The Miller Keystone Blood Center's donating region covers Lehigh, Northampton, Upper Bucks, Montgomery, Warren, Berks, Carbon and Schuylkill counties.
To be eligible to give blood, donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be in general good health. Please remember to bring a valid photo ID. If you are uncertain about whether or not you can donate, a blood center professional can help you determine eligibility.
