Pleasant Valley and Northwestern both posted victories in scholastic golf action on Wednesday.


Salisbury-Notre Dame -Northwestern

Northwestern Lehigh opened the Colonial League regular season with a complete sweep with a 410-475 win over Salisbury and a 410-421 victory over Notre Dame of Green Pond.

The Tigers' Cole Miller and the Crusaders' Rich Trapp tied for medalists honors with a match low of 76.

Stephen Reitz followed his Tigers' teammate with a solid round also as he carded a next best 77.

Pleasant Valley opened Mountain Valley Conference action on the links with a 12-6 match-play victory over East Stroudsburg North.

The Bears' Kyle Adamonis carded medalist honors with a match-low score of 83.

The Bears' Andrew Hanson, Colin Cook and Alex Kaye also knocked off their Panther opponents during the day.

Palmerton dropped two matches to Saucon Valley and Pen Argyl in a Colonial League tri-meet.

The Bombers suffered a 401-436 setback to the Panthers, while fell to the Green Knights 418-436.

The Bombers' Ben Andrew grabbed medalist honors by scoring a match-low 70 on the day.

Billy Heinich finished with a four-over-par 74 for the Bombers.

Palmerton slips to 0-4 in the early going.
