CSCT schedules auditions for fall shows

The Carbon/Schuylkill Community Theatre will hold auditions for two upcoming shows to be performed this fall.

Auditions will be held for both productions on Tuesday, Aug. 31, from 7-8:30 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 2, from 7-8:30 p.m., at The Studio, 255-257 E. Ridge St., Lansford.

The theatre group will put on two one-act mysteries Oct. 23-24. Needed are one young man (teens-through 20s); one middle-aged man (40s-50s); one woman (30s-50s); three women (40s-50s); one woman (50+).

Those auditioning will be asked to read from the script.

Anyone interested in directing one or both of the mysteries is asked to contact CSCT founder Janet Bliss Sager at (570) 325-2317 as soon as possible.

The second production, a musical, will be "The Mad Adventures of Mr. Toad," to be performed Nov. 20-21.

Needed are actors, singers and dancers from age 6 through senior citizens.

Principal roles will be played by adults.

Those interested in auditioning for the musical are asked to come prepared to sing, read and dance. There will not be an accompanist present, so please bring a CD or tape to play your music.

Sager, who will direct and choreograph the musical, envisions it to be entertaining for all ages.
