Mary Reiter celebrates her 100th birthday

Mary Reiter, a guest at MapleShade Meadows Assisted Living Center in Nesquehoning, celebrated her 100th birthday on Aug. 19.
The congenial lady spends time reading, knitting, and watching sports on TV and claims there aren't enough hours in the day for her busy schedule.
She and her late husband, Warren, had one daughter who recently passed away.
Mary is a big follower of the Lehighton Indians sports. She has traveled all over the 50 states and Canada and in 1973 she spent 49 days traveling throughout the United States.
She has received congratulatory letters from Willard Scott, and the Philadelphia Phillies along with autographed pictures of the players.
Mary spends almost each evening playing pinochle in her room along with her favorite gal friends at MapleShade.
