Master gardener

John Pecha of Diaz Avenue in Nesquehoning is seen taking a break from his gardening in front of one his hundreds of flower bushes. His green thumb, inherited from his parents, has given him the chance to cultivate numerous flowers and a vegetable garden. His tomato plants stand tall over him. He is now getting his Fall flowers ready for planting and will again display a flower garden that is the highlight for passers-by. Pecha and his wife, Roseanne, have been living in the house for the past 30 years. He said he starts everything from seed in January. His well manicured yard has paths running from flower beds to vegetable gardens all around his home.
