Nesquehoning incidents reported

Nesquehoning police reported on the following incidents and arrests made by officers.

On July 25 Chief Sean Smith was dispatched to 353 E. Catawissa St., for an active domestic incident. As a result of an investigation Smith filed charges of simple assault and harassment against Ricky Williams, of that address, and Lisa Marie Ciampaglia,111 Birch Drive, Jim Thorpe.Smith arrested Walter Watson III, of 139 W. Ridge St., Nesquehoning, on a bench warrant issued out of Northampton County for a pending burlgary charge. When in custody Smith located suspected narcotics on Watson. Drug charges are pending in that matter. Watson was then transported to Northampton County where he is currently being held.On July 30 Officer Timothy Wuttke arrested Joe Pizzutti, 105 W. Mill St., Nesquehoning, for allegedly threatening a neighbor in his block. Wuttke transported Pizzutti to the Lehighton hospital where he was committed to the mental health unit.Also on July 30 Wuttke was dispatched for a fight at the McDonald's Restaurant driver thru. Wuttke said Lisa Ciampagia was fighting with Ricky Williams in the parking lot. A bystander, not identified by police, tried to break up the fight at which time Williams began punching the bystander, police said.Williams, of 353 W. Catawissa St., was cited with two counts of disorderly conduct. Ciampagia, 111 Birch Drve, Jim Thorpe, was cited for harassment.Officer Robert Blisard issued the following traffic citation. On July 30 stop sign at state routes 94 and 209. Officer Wuttke issued a stop sign citation on Aug. 1 at SR209 and Mermon Ave. Officer Brian White issued citations for speeding on July 31, 51 miles-per-hour in a 25 zone at Oak and Catawissa sts., and on Aug. 2, stop sign at Mermon and SR209.
